Vision:  The vision of the Campaign for United Nations Reform is an
effective, democratic, and accountable United Nations system able to
fulfill the goals set forth in the preamble of its Charter. These goals
include preventing war, protecting fundamental human rights, establishing
conditions for justice and respect for international law, and promoting
social progress with sustainable standards of living.

Mission: The mission of the Campaign for United Nations Reform is to build
political will within the United States to promote a more democratic,
accountable, and transparent U.N. system;  and to increase the resources
and authority needed by the U.N. system to achieve the goals set forth in
its Charter.  Recognizing that U.S. support is essential if the U.N. system
is to be strengthened, the role of the Campaign for U.N. Reform is to lobby
the U.S. Congress and Administration to take actions to achieve these
goals, to make advocacy of a strengthened U.N. system an election issue,
and to support the election and appointment of officials who share our
vision.
