Not everything revolves
around politics. Here’s some stuff I like that has nothing to do with it. None
of the sites linked here are affiliated with or endorse my campaign in any way,
shape or form, just so you know.
MUSIC
My CD (and more recently,
MP3) collection has become quite extensive over the years. In fact, I hosted a
music show on public access television back in college. Here are some of the
people I’m usually listening to.
Minutemen / fIREHOSE / Mike Watt
These are must-have
freebies for the Internet. I run them on my own machine.
Adobe Acrobat –
Allows you to read .pdf files
Google – Crushes other search engines like a
grape.
ICQ – Still the best chat software after all
these years. I’m user 2343757.
OpenOffice – Seriously,
it’s a fully licensed and totally free office suite! (formerly the StarOffice free download)
ZoneAlarm – Have a cable modem or on DSL?
You need a firewall. Here’s an excellent free one.
Yes, I’m a vexillologist.
Battle Born Vexillology
– Flags of Nevada.
Flags of the World (FOTW) – Extremely
comprehensive.
National Flag Foundation – The Stars
and Stripes authority.
North American Vexillological Association – A
flag collectors association.
World Flag Database – Same as FOTW,
but somewhat easier to navigate.
Another hobby I never seem
to have enough time for.
ACME License Maker – Lots of fun!
American License Plate Collectors Association
– The national collectors group.
Nevada International License Plate Society – A
license plate site closer to home.
I’m an unrepentant chili
head. When it comes to sauces, the hotter, the better.
Cholula – Great for breakfast.
El Yucateco – Earthy and with plenty of
fire.
Fire & Spice Inc. – Get the hard-core
stuff here.
Tabasco – I’m a big fan of their habañero
sauce.
